Qigong Conference in Tampa

Several of our members attended the Qigong Revolution conference in Tampa recently. Here is a summary from Patricia who attended the conference.

"Corrine, Jannette, and I recently attended the 4-day Qigong revolution from Saturday, July 11 to Tuesday, July 14 at the Indian Cultural Center just west of Dale Mabry near Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa. There were 650 people all equipped with yoga mats. Jeff Primaz taught most of the classes.

We did the basic "Warrior Breath" which was a powerful clearing breathing technique. Jeff demonstrated and also showed video of graphics which helped to imagine what was happening with the Qi (life energy). He also did a major demonstration on raw, organic foods blended in a 3hp blender for optimal health. One of his books include the entire workshop presented including all the powerpoint slides, his 3 Qigung techniques, what he believes the theory of why Qigung works, and a presentation on Sacred Geometry. Jeff did a great job of describing and demonstrating the techniques. We did group breathing of series of 9 breaths, which culminated in a hand-holding meditation. We began feeling the Qi, forgiving all, moving the Qi around the enormous circle, praying for Tampa, the United States, leaders, the World, those in war, the poor, the children, and all on earth. To me this was the most powerful exercise we in all four days. Then we learned to incorporate the techniques into an improvisatory moving method of Qigung similar to Tai-chi. This was an excellent experience of being in the "Qi" throughout moving all around the room, pulling it in, sending it out, strengthening it and so much more. For $99, it was well worth the experience."

You can see the event lineup, the products, and everything else on their website. Please e-mail us if you are interested and Patricia will be happy to share more information with you.
